About Our Speaker:

Vanessa Foster is the Growth and Retention specialist for WBEC Greater DMV; division of The Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC) . Women’s growth and success has always been Vanessa’s passion. Vanessa have spent most of her career working and uplifting women and people in need. She has worked at the Department of State, where she helped spouses and families of federal employees overseas. Foster has also worked at another non-profit organization, called So Others Might Eat (SOME), where the organization sole purpose is to help the homeless find housing and to receive medical care.

Vanessa wanted to further help women and others , which brought her to WBEC Greater DMV. Vanessa has been a part of WBEC Greater DMV network for two years. During her tenure, she has been a part of the certification team, which upholds the gold standard of certifying a women owned business. Vanessa is now the Growth and Retention specialist, where her main goal is to explain the benefits of WBENC certification, and to encourage women to be a part of this network, where they can always find support.
