Policy | Photography, Video Recording, and Media Release

By registering for, attending, participating in, speaking at, exhibiting at, sponsoring, or otherwise taking part in any The National Society of Black Wedding & Event Professionals (NSBWEP) event, program, meeting, conference, webinar, awards ceremony, networking event, educational session, or related activity (collectively, the “Event”), whether conducted in person, virtually, or in a hybrid format, you acknowledge and agree to the following:

NSBWEP and its authorized representatives may photograph, film, record, livestream, or otherwise capture your image, likeness, voice, name, professional information, business name, and participation during the Event. These recordings and images may be used by NSBWEP for promotional, educational, archival, membership, fundraising, public relations, social media, website, digital marketing, print marketing, and other lawful business purposes.

By attending the Event, you grant NSBWEP a non-exclusive, worldwide, perpetual, irrevocable, royalty-free license to use, reproduce, publish, distribute, display, edit, modify, adapt, and share such photographs, video recordings, audio recordings, livestreams, and related content in any media format now known or later developed, without compensation or additional approval.

You understand and agree that Event recordings and photographs may be edited, cropped, enhanced, combined with other materials, or otherwise modified at NSBWEP’s discretion while maintaining the integrity of the Event experience and brand.

Except where prohibited by law, you waive any right to inspect or approve the finished materials and release NSBWEP, its officers, directors, employees, contractors, partners, sponsors, and agents from any claims arising out of or related to the use of such materials, including claims based on rights of publicity, privacy, or copyright.

Individuals who do not wish to be photographed or recorded are encouraged to notify an NSBWEP representative before the Event. While NSBWEP will make reasonable efforts to accommodate such requests, it cannot guarantee that attendees will not appear incidentally in crowd photographs, video footage, livestreams, or recordings.

Your attendance and participation in the Event constitute your acknowledgment of and consent to the terms of this Photography, Video, and Media Release Policy.
